Caroline E. Browder

Caroline E. Browder is a member at Roth Jackson. Her practice focuses on all aspects of commercial real estate, including strategic planning, finance, leasing, and construction. Ms. Browder represents landlords and tenants in commercial lease transactions including ground leases, “build to suit” and national tenant leasing. She also represents lenders and borrowers in commercial financing.  Ms. Browder has extensive experience in cellular communications leasing and development.

Before joining Roth Jackson, Ms. Browder served as senior vice president and in-house counsel for SunTrust Banks, Inc., where she handled all of the bank’s corporate real estate transactions in the Mid-Atlantic region. Representative transactions include: portfolio sale/leaseback of 447 branch banking facilities, sale/leaseback of 25 office buildings, 1031 Tax Deferred Exchange Projects, drafting and negotiating leases for all retail and office space leased by and from SunTrust Bank, AIA contracts, condemnation, and premise liability litigation.

Andrew M. Condlin

Andrew M. Condlin is a member at Roth Jackson, specializing in commercial real estate and land use law. Mr. Condlin represents developers and landowners in every aspect of commercial real estate, particularly in matters relating to land use, zoning, economic development, transactional matters (purchase, sale, lease, financing), historic preservation and local government law issues. He also assists local governments, volunteer boards and private developers in amending and drafting local zoning ordinances and comprehensive plans. The extent of Mr. Condlin’s diverse land use practice places him in regular contact with local governing bodies, commissions and administrators as well as relevant developers and civic associations allowing him to establish and maintain relationships with these individuals and organizations.

Mr. Condlin is the recipient of the Henrico Business Council’s Award of Merit for 2005 and named the 2004 Virginia Bar Leader of the Year by the Virginia State Bar’s Conference of Local Bar Associations. In 1998, Mr. Condlin was named one of Richmond’s “Top 40 Under Forty” by Inside Business magazine. Mr. Condlin has been included in Virginia Business magazine’s list of the “Legal Elite” and was recognized by Chambers USA as a leading real estate attorney in Virginia, each since 2004. Mr. Condlin has been named a “Super Lawyer” for Land Use/Zoning by Virginia Super Lawyers magazine and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, each since 2004. Joseph F. Jackson

Joe Jackson is a founding member of Roth Jackson who concentrates on commercial real estate, finance, and restructuring matters. Mr. Jackson began his legal career as a commercial litigation attorney and now regularly represents business entities and lenders in commercial real estate acquisitions, sales, and financings, asset and stock sales and other asset dispositions. Additionally, he represents creditors in workout-related litigation and bankruptcy matters in state and federal courts in Virginia and Maryland. Mr. Jackson also serves as outside counsel to businesses throughout the region regarding entity formation, governance and general transaction-related issues. Mr. Jackson has a Top Secret security clearance from Defense Investigative Security Clearance Office.

He is a member of the Virginia and Maryland bars and is admitted to practice before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. He has been recognized as one of Virginia’s “Legal Elite” by Virginia Business magazine.

Mark J. Kronenthal

Mark Kronenthal is a member at Roth Jackson, practicing in all areas of commercial real estate transactions. Since his return to private practice after serving as the Mayor of Richmond’s Chief of Staff and Senior Policy Advisor, Mark assists clients in land use/zoning matters, commercial leasing, lending, and business/government strategies.

Mark represents banks and borrowers in a wide variety of lending scenarios, including commercial/multi-family acquisitions, construction loans, permanent financing, historic tax credit matters, and leasehold financing. Mark also negotiates complex ground and space leases, municipal ordinances, easements, use restrictions, declarations, restrictive covenants, and land use/zoning matters for all types of commercial clients. He advises clients on general corporate matters, on local, state and federal government relations, and on administrative and enforcement issues.

Mark’s background also includes national bank branch leasing and bank-owned property dispositions.

Mark has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Real Estate, and is a past Executive Committee Member and past Programs Co-Chair of the Richmond district of the Urban Land Institute, 2011-2012.

Ashley B. Kyle

Ashley B. Kyle is of Counsel at Roth Jackson focusing in commercial real estate, finance and land use.  Ms. Kyle represents clients on a diverse set of commercial real estate matters including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development and financing. She routinely represents clients in obtaining zoning, permitting and development approvals from various localities.  Ms. Kyle also regularly represents lenders and business entities in commercial financings.  She has also represented developers on various matters related to large residential community projects.

Ms. Kyle is a former adjunct professor at the Antonin Scalia Law School (formerly George Mason University School of Law). She has taught Legal Research and Writing classes in both the JD and JM programs.

Kim Lacy

Kim Lacy is of counsel at Roth Jackson focusing in commercial real estate and land use law. Ms. Lacy regularly represents landowners and developers in obtaining zoning, permitting, and development approvals, as well as negotiating economic development agreements, sale and purchase agreements, easement agreements, escrow agreements and restrictive covenants for developments.
