U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has recently acknowledged problems with the issuance of Requests for Evidence (RFEs). These important documents involve the request for more information and/or documentation from the applicant. As the requests always have a response deadline, it is crucial that the applicant receives it in a timely manner. During the past year, RFEs either have not been mailed or have been mailed late. If you have a pending case and do not have an online USCIS account, create an account to check if an RFE has been issued. If you have an account, check it! Working with an attorney also helps to ensure that RFEs are received or late-issued RFEs are dealt with successfully.
