Since joining the firm, she has assisted in successfully defending employers and businesses against numerous claims, including race, age, and disability claims, contract actions, wrongful termination and Bowman claims, as well as lawsuits brought under various consumer protection statutes, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the various federal regulations regarding the same.
Ms. Bradley has also gained significant experience in protecting businesses’ interests and enforcing creditors’ rights in court. To that end, she has assisted in bringing lawsuits to enforce contracts and payment obligations. Likewise, she has favorably conducted numerous commercial foreclosure actions, actions to recover specific personal property, and judgment enforcement actions such as garnishments and debtor interrogatories.

Before joining roth doner jackson gibbons condlin, plc., Ms. Browder served as senior vice president and in-house counsel for SunTrust Banks, Inc., where she handled all of the bank’s corporate real estate transactions in the Mid-Atlantic region (VA, MD, DC, NC, SC). Representative transactions include: portfolio sale/leaseback of 447 branch banking facilities, sale/leaseback of 25 office buildings, 1031 Tax Deferred Exchange Projects, drafting and negotiating leases for all retail and office space leased by and from SunTrust Bank, modifying and negotiating AIA architectural and construction contracts, reviewing and revising supplier contracts and purchase orders, representing the bank in partial and total condemnation cases, and managing premise liability claims and litigation.
Ms. Browder also has experience in the review of marketing materials and application of federal and state marketing laws and other banking regulations.

Ms. Doner regularly counsels employers on personnel matters, including employment contracts and policies, family and medical leave, disability, discrimination, wage-hour, and termination matters. She frequently trains management in the public and private sector on a variety of employment law issues.
Ms. Doner served on the Fairfax County Circuit Court Committee from 2004 to 2007 and is the former co-chair of the Employment Law Section of the Montgomery County, Md. Bar Association. In 2010, she was named “Washington Metropolitan Legal Elite” by SmartCEO magazine and in 2007, 2010, and 2011 named as a “Virginia Rising Star” by Virginia Businessmagazine. In addition to litigation, Mr. Gibbons advises clients on numerous employment related issues in order to develop and implement practical employment policies and procedures for his clients. Mr. Gibbons also provides training to employers in all areas of labor and employment law, including anti-harassment training, workplace complaints and investigations, hiring and interviewing, wage and hour, and discipline and discharge. In traditional labor matters, Mr. Gibbons has represented employers in collective bargaining negotiations and administrative hearings.
Mr. Gibbons also provides guidance to clients involved in business acquisitions. In connection with these transactions, he reviews and drafts employment and restrictive covenant agreements and assists clients with various employment issues which may arise during such transactions.

During law school, Ms. Poteet served as a law clerk for the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee in Washington, D.C. There, she worked on campaign finance issues and other political and non-political legislation, including bills concerning immigration, political advertisements and robocall regulations, international treaties, religious freedom, labor law, and copyright. She was also a teaching assistant for first-year legal writing, a member of the Law Review and Moot Court Board, and a participant in legal study-abroad programs in London and Hong Kong. Her law review article, Campaign Finance & Randall v. Sorrell: How Much is Too Much and Who Decides? The Court’s Splintering Devotion to Its Own Problematic Framework, was published in 2007.
Even with a busy litigation practice, Ms. Poteet maintains a personal interest in campaign finance and election law. She has conducted election law trainings and worked on a number of ballot integrity projects since 2008.

Mitchell N. Roth is a partner at roth doner jackson, plc. He is nationally recognized for his experience with state and federal direct marketing laws. He counsels clients on developing effective marketing strategies to ensure compliance with telemarketing, email, fax, direct mail and internet marketing laws. He also has significant experience in defending clients in nation-wide class action lawsuits arising out of alleged violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act as well as enforcement actions initiated by the Federal Trade Commission and state attorneys general alleging violations of marketing laws. Mr. Roth works closely with several national trade associations in advising them and their members on compliance with marketing and privacy laws and is a frequent lecturer on legal issues affecting the direct marketing industry.
Mr. Roth has also gained experience in counseling private colleges and universities on compliance with the Department of Education’s Program Integrity regulations, specifically those pertaining to Gainful Employment, Placement Verification, Prohibited Misrepresentations and Incentive Compensation. Mr. Roth also oversees the Firm’s Business Immigration practice group where he advises clients in connection with their business immigration matters. He is experienced in assisting his clients with obtaining nonimmigrant visas, such as H-1Bs, L-1s, E-2s, etc., as well as assisting his clients in obtaining U.S. permanent residence through employment.

Ms. Sakata counsels employers on personnel matters, including employment contracts and policies, family and medical leave, wage-hour, and termination matters. She has experience in litigating covenants not–to-compete and other employment contract disputes.
She conducts lectures and information sessions for small business owners on risk management in the employment law arena, and volunteers her time in the Fairfax Bar Association’s pro bono employment law program.
Ms. Sakata has been named as one of the top up-and-coming lawyers in the state by Virginia Super Lawyers Rising Stars magazine in the category of Employment & Labor. While in law school, she worked as a paralegal at Hughes and Associates and assisted in the litigation of construction law and insurance defense cases. Later, she was employed as a law clerk by Stein, Mitchell & Mezines in Washington D.C., where she worked on government investigations of corporate officials and antitrust and trade regulation matters.
Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Sakata served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable LeRoy F. Millette, Jr. (now current Justice on the Virginia Supreme Court) of the 31st Judicial Circuit Court in Virginia. During her two-year clerkship, she had an opportunity to work on several high profile cases, including Commonwealth v. John Allen Muhammad, the “Washington Area Sniper” case.
