Phone Hacked at Local Immigration Court

08/04/22 | Immigration Law, Recent News

The Arlington Immigration Court was hacked yesterday. The hack was on the Court’s main line, (703) 305-1300. Scammers are making it appear that calls are coming from the court. Once you answer the phone, they are requesting personal information such as Social Security Numbers and credit card information.

It is important to know that the Immigration Court (also known as the Executive Office for Immigration Review or EOIR) will never request private information such as one’s SSN or financial information over the phone.  Be careful answering phone calls from numbers you do not recognize and, if you have questions about EOIR procedures or your own Immigration case, consult with one of our Immigration Attorneys today.
