Update on the USCIS October 2020 Visa Bulletin

September 25, 2020JCaudill@rothjackson.comImmigration Law, Recent News

It is exciting to see forward movement in the October 2020 Visa Bulletin. This is of particular news to individuals in the usually-backlogged EB1, EB2, and EB3 categories with chargeability to India. After an earlier announcement to the contrary on September 24, USCIS announced that they will be using the Visa Bulletin’s “dates for filing” chart for employment-based categories in the month of October. USCIS usually requires use of the “final action dates” chart, so this is an exciting opportunity for a number of people who have been waiting quite some time to submit their applications to adjust status. Roth Jackson will be providing FAQs and further information in the coming days.
